Procedure

1. Acceptance of the case from the counter

Acceptance of the case by the counter shall not be deemed to constitute jurisdiction of the Drug Court.

2. Registrar case study

The Registrar shall decide whether the case is within the jurisdiction of the Drug Court.

3. Appointment of a judge to hear the case

The Chief Justice shall decide whether the cases to be submitted to the court shall be assigned to the judicial sections (judges) on an equal basis.

4. The appointed judge shall continue the case

The trial judge shall conduct all matters relating to the case assigned to the judge.

About Drug Court

Drug Court is a superior court established under the Act number 17/2011 (Drug Act) to hear and dispose of criminal cases of drug dependent persons, and subject such persons to mandatory treatment and rehabilitation programs in order to reduce or eliminate their dependency on drugs and thus increasing their chances of reintegration into the community as responsible citizens .
